In early September we were contacted by the publishers of EasyJet’s ‘Traveller’ magazine, who wanted to feature us in their article on ‘the 10 best shepherd’s huts’. Naturally, we were happy to oblige – and it got us thinking about the many ways our guests can reach us!
Although our location here is Maesbury is very rural (in fact we are surrounded by working farmland, and during certain times of the year you’ll find sheep grazing in our field!) we are conveniently located close to some main travel hubs. These include:
- Bristol Airport – Just 18 miles away from Tor View, if you’re arriving by aeroplane you could have come from one of any number of destinations including Scotland, Ireland, and mainland Europe. You can even get flights to Bristol from Florida and Mexico!
- Castle Cary Train Station – if you prefer to let the train take the strain, Castle Cary Train Station is less than 10 miles away. From here you can get regular trains to London and a host of other destinations.
- Car – When you arrive at Tor View you’ll find your very own designated parking space, no need to worry about finding somewhere to leave your car! If it’s electric you will also be able to charge it easily, either from the nearest charging point in Wells, at Morrisons Supermarket (just 5 ½ miles/11 minutes away!); or if you’re staying in Ted and have got your own ‘grannylead’ you can charge up onsite, as there is a socket next to Ted.
So there you have it – a myriad of ways to reach us! To paraphrase Oleta Adams: We don’t care how you get here, just get here if you can!
