We’ve got something to be cheerful about – our birthday!
Yes, it is 12 years since Phil had a dream to build a shepherds hut for guests to stay in. 6 years later, Tor View Shepherds Huts was opened, and our original hut ‘Len’ was then joined by his little brother ‘Ted’. Together they provide a retreat in the beautiful Somerset countryside for people wanting to escape the rat race for a few days.
Over the years we’ve worked hard to constantly improve the huts, by listening to what our lovely guests say, and we think we’ve got it right! As well as an outside kitchen at Ted we’ve added a garden arbour and a facility to charge an electric car, not forgetting our personalised Ordnance Survey maps.
We’re really proud to have been the first glamping site in the UK to be awarded the VisitEngland Gold Award, and we’ve also won awards from the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards and the South West Tourism Awards. None of this would have been possible without our loyal guests, many of whom visit time after time. We are really grateful to you all for helping Phil’s dream become a reality.
Here’s to the next 6 years – who knows what else we’ll achieve?
